Employees of Samsung C&T made a visit on Dec. 16 to Hansarang Village, an institution for disabled children in Gwangju, Gyeonggi.

Some 30 employees dressed up as Santa Claus and participated in activities such as singing, reading stores and doing performances including magic acts and bubble shows for the children.

They also handed out necessities such as clothes and toys to the children as Christmas presents.

“While participating in this program, I realized that there is so much we can do for these kids,” a Samsung C&T employee said. “I felt the need to give more attention to those around us who are in need of help and affection.”

For the last five years, Samsung C&T has been organizing multiple volunteer programs around this time of year.

Among the corporate social responsibility activities the company has planned for this winter are knitting mufflers and providing rice and food for neighbors in need.

“For us, the year’s end is always a time for giving,” a Samsung C&T spokesman said. “We will continue to search for new activities that require our assistance in order to give back as a responsible member of society.”
