Hanjin Group donates W3B as part of its social responsibility

Hanjin Group donated 3 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea on Tuesday.

The group has been fulfilling its social responsibility as a global logistics company with efforts such as delivering relief supplies in disaster
areas.

Korean Air, a major affiliate of Hanjin Group, has been actively participating in its corporate social activities. The company delivered supplies to the victims of Nepal’s earthquake and Myanmar’s flood. Also, executives and board members are contributing part of their wages to form a community fund.

The company also operated daily cafes and donated earnings to the United Help for International Children, an organization giving aid to children worldwide.

Other than donations, the company also opened regular English classes for elementary school children near Incheon International Airport. For children in Busan and Gimhae, South Gyeongsang, it offered junior engineering classes.
