Gary tops Chinese chart with latest track
Rapper Gary’s digital single “Lonely Night” has topped the chart of Chinese music portal Baidu Music on Monday, according to his agency.
“Chinese fans are excited about the release of a music video for ‘Lonely Night’ because Gary and Song Ji-hyo appear in it,” Leessang Company said.
Gary, 38, enjoys tremendous popularity in China thanks to the reality TV show “Running Man,” in which he appears with Song.
With the release of “Lonely Night,” Gary will go on tour in Asia starting Jan. 16. He will visit Taiwan, Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries.
Gary broke into the music scene in 1999 as a member of hip-hop group Honey Family, and he formed the hip-hop duo Leessang in 2002 with Gil.
