Renault Samsung launches new European diesel sedan
Renault Samsung Motors on Monday rolled out its European SM3 dCi diesel sedan, installed with the company’s 1.5 dCi diesel engine, a Euro 6 engine that slashes greenhouse gas emissions.The automaker’s steady-selling SM3 sedan has been revamped with Renault’s diesel technology and dual clutch transmission supplied by GETRAG, a German transmissions supplier. This adds a new auto to the company’s diesel lineup following its former QM3 diesel model. The new car provides gas mileage of 17.7 kilometers per liter (41.6 miles per gallon).
While keeping the practical features of its existing SM3 sedan, the new auto offers additional infotainment functions such as navigation installed with SK’s 3-D T-map, music streaming service by SK Melon and phone-to-car video transfer function.
Renault Samsung had in November released the 2016 QM3, a 2016 version of its hot-selling compact sports utility car also facilitated with the Euro 6 diesel engine, which originally rolled out in 2013.
