LG to begin selling diabetes drug overseas in March

The diabetes treatment drug Zemiglo by LG Life Sciences will make its overseas debut in March, when it enters markets in India and five Central American countries, the company announced Wednesday.

The five Central American countries include Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

The company obtained sales permits in nine countries last year. LG has been working with Sanofi-Aventis and Stendhal since 2013 to jointly sell Zemiglo in 104 countries.
