Actor Gang Dong-won decides to join YG
Actor Gang Dong-won has signed a contract with YG Entertainment, which is home to musicians like Big Bang, 2NE1 and Psy.
Although YG is known as a management company for many up-and-coming K-pop singers, the entertainment agency has also expanded its business into acting by recruiting actors like Cha Seung-won of “Splendid Politics” (2015) and Choi Ji-woo of “Like for Likes” (2015).
It has been reported that Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO of YG, had round of meetings with Gang and made a team especially for Gang so that the company could sign a deal with the actor.
Gang said in a press release on Monday, “I think of Yang as a second-to-none creative director in the nation’s entertainment scene, and it made me settle down at YG.”
