‘Reply’ cast to celebrate success with event
Good news for fans of the drama series “Reply 1988.”Although the drama series came to an end in the middle of last month, five lead actors including Hyeri, Park Bo-gum, Ryu Jun-yeol, Go Kyung-pyo and Lee Dong-hwi are planning to hold a fan meet event somewhere in Ssangmun-dong, northern Seoul, on Feb. 15, according to an insider at tvN, the show’s broadcaster.
“Reply 1988” is set in Ssangmun-dong located in Dobong District, a traditionally working-class neighborhood, and the drama series describes the lives and relationships of five different teenagers.
The fan meet event was previously promised by the main actors. They said they would hold a face-to-face fan event if the drama series earned a viewership rating of more than 18 percent.
The very last episode of the drama series, which aired on Jan. 16, achieved a record viewership rating of 18.8 percent, the highest among any cable channel TV show in history.
More details about the fan meet event, including the time and venue, will be announced later.
