Ssangyong Motor debuts a revamp of flagship sedan

Ssangyong Motor announced a revamp of its flagship sedan under a new name, the Chairman W Kaiser, on Tuesday. The new model is expected to compete with Hyundai Motor’s luxe Genesis brand and the EQ900 sedan, which was recently launched.

Kaiser, which means emperor in German, was chosen by the company to redefine the quality of the car. The car’s emblem has been changed while quilted patterns on the seats and a new woodgrain is being used in the interior design. Audio, video and navigation systems will also be upgraded. Prices for the auto start at 56.34 million won ($46,700). A warranty for seven years or 150,000 kilometers (93,000 miles), the longest in the industry, is offered to all buyers of the brand.
