Kim Yong-kook appointed head of Invest Korea agency
Kim Yong-kook was appointed to head the Invest Korea agency, according to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra) on Thursday.Invest Korea is part of the Kotra, set up to attract foreign investment, especially through supporting the entry and establishment of foreign businesses in Korea. Kim will head the agency for two years starting Feb. 11.
Kim holds an MBA in international finance from the University of Michigan and has worked in various financial companies including Samsung Securities and Standard Chartered Securities Korea.
