Scores of fans get to meet O’Brien

Cafes near the venue were already crowded in the afternoon with hordes of fans, many with handfuls of gifts for O’Brien.
One high school fan said of showing the entertainer her gift, her own hand drawing of him, “O’Brien’s positive attitude mesmerized me and made me set him as a role model.”
When the bus pulled up, the sidewalk was packed with fans full of excitement to see the American celebrity up close. After saying hello in Korean and waving a few times, O’Brien walked into the building.
According to fans’ Twitter accounts, the TV host had a good time with fans, answering questions and making small talk. But fans showed disappointment because of O’Brien’s early departure, reportedly due to personal reasons. The meeting was previously scheduled to last for two hours.
O’Brien landed at Incheon International Airport on Sunday, where he encountered nearly a thousand local fans. The American comedian has shared bits and pieces of his journey so far via his Instagram account, including photos of him shopping at Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market and eating at a Korean restaurant.
O’Brien will take part in a shoot of the MBC drama “One More Happy Ending” on Tuesday and meet Park Jin-young, the head of JYP Entertainment, on Thursday to wrap up his journey before taking off the next day.
