Eric Benet releases Brown Eyed Soul cover

World famous R&B singer Eric Benet released a remix of the Korean R&B group Brown Eyed Soul’s signature song, “Did We Really Love.”

The composer of the song, Park Geun-tae of Mystic Entertainment, said he “made a proposal to Benet out of admiration, and luckily he accepted it.”

Mystic Entertainment released the remade song on Monday.

Park was the producer of the new R&B duet “Dream” by Suzy and Exo’s Baekhyun, which ranked No. 1 on many music charts. Park and Mystic Entertainment are planning for many other collaborative projects.

Benet reportedly showed much affection for the work, getting involved in every step of the production process.

The original version of “Did We Really Love” emphasized the harmony of the four members. The remix added poetic lyrics and updated touches.

Benet, who has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards, is best known among Korean fans for his hit songs “Hurricane” and “Still With You,” from his 2005 album, “Hurricane.”
