The Korea Gas Corporation’s ICT disaster response system is a platform that will enhance communication among disaster-related state enterprises and government organizations.[KOREA GAS CORPORATION]

Since the beginning of 2016, Korea Gas Corporation CEO Lee Seung-hoon has worked to improve safety and stability in its provision of natural gas by creating a full-fledged disaster response system powered by information and communications technology.

The Korea Gas Corporation’s ICT disaster response system allows the Korea Gas Corporation in Daegu, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in Seoul, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in Sejong City, and local governments to share information and hold joint crisis evaluation meetings.

The Korea Gas Corporation has enhanced the system’s credibility by enabling wireless access, speeding up response times and maximizing its situation command and collaborative response functions. This was made possible with the company’s adoption of the Government 3.0 policy.

The Korea Gas Corporation plans to put its system to the test for the first time at the Safe Korea Exercise set to take place this coming May.
