Women’s Korean Basketball League

Guri KDB Life Winnus (7-26) at Chuncheon Woori Bank Hansae (27-7)

WKBL regular season champions Woori Bank prepares for the fourth consecutive WKBL title as they will finish up the regular season in the final game against bottom-ranked Guri KDB Life Winnus. Coming out of a 23-points victory against Incheon Shinhan Bank S-Birds on Wednesday, Woori Bank is determined to treat their last regular season game as the preparation match for the WKBL playoff.

Shekinna Stricklen of Woori Bank is currently leading the scoring with an average of 18.29 per game. Meanwhile, Woori Bank guard Lee Eun-hye is ranked fourth and fifth in steal and assists. Woori Bank will play the WKBL playoff final against the winner of the semi-final series between Bucheon KEB Hana Bank and Cheongju KB Stars. Woori Bank’s first playoff game is scheduled on Mar. 16 at Hoban Gymnasium, Chuncheon, Gangwon.


VOLLEYBALL

V-League men’s division

Seoul Woori Card Hansae (7-27) at Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers (27-8)

2 p.m. Sunday, Ryu Gwan-sun Arena, Cheonan, South Chungcheong

No.1 Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers will wrap up their regular season against bottom-ranked Seoul Woori Card Hansae on Sunday. The Skywalkers are coming off of yet another shut-out win against Daejeon Samsung Bluefangs on Wednesday with the set score of 3-0. It also has a guaranteed regular season championship title after its victory on Feb. 25. As number one seeded team in the regular season, the Skywalkers will automatically advance to the playoff final.

While the Skywalkers seem to be without much to lose in the upcoming match, they are determined to set a new V-League record with 18 consecutive wins as they are already cruising with a 17-game winning streak.

The Skywalkers are 4-1 against the Hansae this season. The Skywalkers will play their first playoff game on Mar. 18 in the V-League final.
