Singer Hyeri diagnosed with meningitis

테스트

Hyeri, a member of the K-pop girl group Girl’s Day, was hospitalized on Sunday after being diagnosed with meningitis.

According to Dream Entertainment, Hyeri’s agency, the star went to see her doctor after suffering from a headache and fever on Sunday and will be hospitalized for a few days.

Meningitis is an acute inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord, usually caused by a bacterial or viral infection.

The singer reportedly had been experiencing such symptoms since participating in the “Reply 1988” concert. Her agency suspects her immune system was weakened due to her busy schedule, which may have led to her current condition, and plans to give the star time off to get well.

The agency announced the cancellation of a photo shoot featuring Hyeri and promised to do its best to ensure her speedy recovery.
