[New Release] LEE HI

“Seoulite”
Label: KT Music
Genre: R&B, urban
Lee Hi has finally returned after three years with a new minialbum, “Seoulite,” and a more powerful voice than before. R&B is one of her strong suits that works well with her unique low-pitch voice.
The album is composed of five songs with various themes such as love, strong will and sympathy. As each song has a different style and story, it is fun to choose which song to listen to depending on your mood of the day.
The first song, “World Tour,” featuring Mino of the K-pop boy group Winner, is a mix of electronic and urban style, which goes well with its positive message about enjoying life.
The title song, “Breathe,” is already well-loved by many music fans who have heard the teaser. It starts with the line, “Breathe big.” The song sympathizes with and appeases your burden and pain. Even though it has a slow melody and typical ballad style, the lyrics touch the heart. It is no surprise that the song was composed and written by Jong-hyun of the boy group Shinee.
The other songs are by no means conventional in melody or lyrics. Nonetheless, Lee’s soulful voice will captivate your ears this spring.
