New head of Hana Financial Investment steps into office

The new president and CEO of Hana Financial Investment, Lee Jin-kook, took office on Wednesday.

Lee was a former vice president of retail finance and wholesale at Shinhan Financial Investment.

He unveiled three goals at his inauguration ceremony held at the brokerage’s headquarters in Yeouido, southwestern Seoul. Those goals are strengthening the firm’s wealth management business, reinforcing joint business partnership with other affiliates under Hana Financial Group, such as KEB Hana Bank, and expanding its investment banking division.?

Lee said, “As Hana Financial has traditionally been a brokerage house with strong asset management background, I’d like to work with our employees to boost returns for our clients and enhance risk management capability as well.”
