The average price of Seoul-based apartment houses on jeonse deals (the lump-sum deposit rental contract) reached a record high in March, surpassing the 400 million won mark for the first time since June 2011, according to the KB Kookmin Bank. The average jeonse prices in Seoul reached 402.4 million won ($345,329), up 6.34 percent, compared to the beginning of the year.
