Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) said it successfully delivered a semi-submersible drilling unit to Norway’s Songa Offshore on Thursday. DSME received nearly 500 billion won ($437.3 million) after the delivery. The drilling unit is the fourth one DSME has constructed for the Norwegian company.
The ship can drill up to 8,500 meters below the surface and can also perform well intervention services, DSME said in a press release on Thursday.
Meanwhile, DSME wants to receive back extra money it spent during the construction on its previous projects with the Norwegian company.
