Hyundai Livart will now sell small home appliances
Local furniture company Hyundai Livart entered the home appliances market on Tuesday with the release of its air deodorizer Vio-air and its Viosink-care sanitizer.The new products are available in 10 Livart Style stores around the nation and on online malls such as Livart Mall and 11st.
Vio-air differs from other deodorizers in that it doesn’t require customers to change filters regularly.
Viosink-care is designed to eliminate up to 90 percent of the germs in a sink’s drain within 40 minutes, the company said.
Both products use a cutting-edge sterilization technology called Violeds, which relies on LED lights and is used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to keep its space stations free of germs, Hyundai Livart said.
The company said it decided to enter the small appliance business based on demand from its furniture customers.
Hyundai aims to double the revenue of its home decoration product division within the next three years,
Currently, decorative products account for only 5 percent of the total revenue.
