Big Bang’s Seungri to debut in film in Japan

The youngest member of the K-pop boy group Big Bang, Seungri, is soon to make his debut on the big screen in Japan.

According to the singer’s agency, YG Entertainment, Seungri will star in the movie “High & Low: The Movie.”
The film centers on the internal strife of the affiliation S.W.O.R.D, which consists of five delinquent organizations from regions around the world.

Seungri will play the cunning and cold-hearted son of a ruthless Korean gang boss. The film is said to also star many celebrities, including the popular Japanese boy group Exile.

“I am excited about starring in the movie with members of Exile,” Seungri said. “Although I initially had concerns, I learned a lot from playing a kind of character I have never had the chance to play before.”

The singer is reportedly also returning to the Japanese drama scene after three years, with “High & Low 2,” which will be made as a drama.

The drama will air today on the Japanese broadcaster NTV.
