To June 30: JW’s Grill, the signature restaurant at JW Marriott Seoul, presents a special set-course menu showcasing caviar, acclaimed as one of the world’s three finest foods, and sturgeon. This remarkable culinary promotion runs until June 30.

Beginning with crab tarts accompanied by crunchy fennel and caviar, the menu continues with rich porcini soup with truffle oil, sturgeon Caesar salad, and vodka-infused lemon sorbet. The main course is a choice of grilled tenderloin of Korean hanwoo beef or grilled sturgeon, accompanied by asparagus, roast onions and pumpkin puree, while dessert is an indulgent strawberry trifle with fresh strawberries, mascarpone cream and fresh passion fruit cream. The menu is priced at 150,000 won ($131).

JW’s Grill is a premium grill restaurant offering a fresh and creative approach to combining Eastern and Western culinary styles. A menu of steak, lamb rib, lobster and other international dishes is accompanied by a selection of some 150 premium wines from countries as diverse as France, the United States, Australia and Chile. A dedicated sommelier is on hand at all times to provide expert recommendations, ensuring the perfect pairing for every dish. Private rooms for family gatherings are also available.

May 1-31: Grand Hyatt Seoul is introducing a special V.I.K. package in celebration of the month of the family. This “Very Important Kids” package is specially designed for families with young children. All benefits, such as the V.I.K. welcome amenity kit, including indoor slippers, tooth brush & toothpaste set, organic cosmetics, colored pencils and more, are designed especially for guests’ children. A kids menu certificate is provided for use at either The Terrace or room service, and is part of the package, along with one night accommodation in a Grand Room and access to all hotel facilities. On Children’s Day (May 5), package guests can enjoy a special shopping event, #Shop, in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom. During the weekend from May 6 to 8, package guests will also be accorded exclusive access to a brand new Grand Camping Zone, where kids can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in nature. The V.I.K. Package price starts from 280,000 won for two adults and one child. Tax and service charge will be added.

Sheraton Grande Walkerhill

May 4: Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is holding a gala dinner led by Thomas Buhner at 7 p.m. at Aston House, a luxury banquet hall at the hotel. Buhner is the first Michelin three-starred chef in Germany. He is called the master of aromatic cuisine, which focuses on the natural taste and flavor of ingredients. In 2012, his restaurant, La Vie located in Osnabruck, became the first Michelin three-star restaurant in Germany. Buhner aims to preserve the natural tastes and flavor of ingredients as much as possible. He adheres to a method that uses a minimum level of heat to cook the food in an attempt to avoid damaging the characteristics of each ingredient. Buhner will introduce a special seven-course menu that features flavors of Korea. Starting with oyster with jamon (ham), kimchi salmorejo (tomato puree), and pear espuma (whip), the course menu includes a spring fish pond made of saffron fish stock, aubergine chipotle escabeche (marinade), crab, yellow mullet, cockle, fresh spring herbs and carrot emulsion; 48-degree flounder with Jeju mandarin ssamjang (spicy soybean and red pepper paste) sauce, 60-degree egg yolk sauce, chicken essence, 15 spring vegetables with nam pla wan (sweet and spicy sauce), mackerel and amaranth; a rabbit dish with Insu cream, Canary Island-style potatoes, noras sauce, corn sesame tortilla, wild chive and coriander; and a Korean beef dish with one-year-fermented salsify doenjang (soybean paste), water pepper sauce, nuruk (yeast) powder, Parmesan cheese and myeongi herb. Last but not least, aubergine ice cream made of mint aubergine, homemade soba (buckwheat flour), Roquefort and walnut, will be served as a dessert. The special course menu is priced at 500,000 won per person (tax, service charge included) and requires an advance reservation.

Saturday to Oct. 1: The Courtyard Marriott Seoul Times Square presents the signature promotion “Urban Barbecue.” The event will take place at the Sky Garden, which is located on the 15th floor of the hotel. It will be a great opportunity for guests to enjoy a variety of dishes with a panoramic night view of the city. Starters including favorite grilled dishes such as king prawn, handmade sausages, pork neck and beef sirloin will be served at each table. This food will be served on colorful Le Creuset plates, which is a French table wear brand. After welcome starters, a variety of barbecue dishes will be available, such as beef ribs, beef sirloin, pork belly and jumbo shrimp will be served along with other 20 different types of seasonal side dishes and desserts. Guests can also enjoy unlimited wine and draft beer with no extra charge.

Moreover, the hotel will prepare mini braziers so guests can enjoy barbecued meat at their table. Also, Coleman camping gear will be available so guests can feel like they are camping. The gear and accessories include the Oasis Strawberry Tent, the Steal Belt Cooler and other camping furniture.
