Lotte Group announces new committee for charity work
Lotte Group announced on Wednesday that it will establish a committee devoted to enhancing its social contributions and charity work.The announcement is in line with Lotte’s efforts to improve its public image following its well-publicized family dispute.
Chairman Shin Dong-bin will lead the body, and three outside experts will join to boost transparency.
The rest of the committee will comprise executives from different Lotte affiliates, including So Jin-sei, president of the group’s external relations division.
The committee will be divided into three sections: one tasked with fulfilling the group’s social responsibilities and the other two focused on contributing to regional economies.
