Hospital opens thanks to Sean’s donations
Singer Sean’s longtime philanthropic project has finally come to fruition.
The first-ever rehabilitation hospital dedicated to children with disabilities opened on Thursday after seven years of preparation by the Prume Foundation and the singer.
Sean, as an ambassador for the Prume Foundation, has participated in more than 20 sporting events to raise public awareness of children with disabilities and donated the profits generated from his participation.
Sean’s giving activities even spurred his fellow artists at YG Entertainment to join in the charity spree and take their own steps toward helping the community.
The singer’s donations toward the hospital amount to 600 million won ($526,000).
Formerly a member of the dominant hip-hop duo Jinusean, Sean, along with his wife, Jung Hye-young, have been at the forefront of philanthropic culture in Korea.
