Wonder Girls preparing new album

The veteran K-pop group Wonder Girls will return with a new album this summer.

According to sources, the album will feature songs composed by the members themselves for the first time in their nine-year career, indicative of the significant growth in their musical prowess. The group used to rely on the producing skills of the head of JYP Entertainment, Park Jin-young.

The group is reportedly finishing up the production process and is expected to release the album sometime this summer, possibly in June.

Last year, the Wonder Girls released the album “Reboot” and the title song “I Feel You,” their first since their number of members went down to four.

After making their mark on the K-pop scene with the song “Tell Me,” which created a splash in Korea in 2007, the idol group has continued on to release many hits including “So Hot,” “Nobody” and “2 Different Tears.”

The Wonder Girls, however, have experienced a few departures of original members, resulting in today’s four-member group consisting of Yeeun, Yubin, Sunmi and Hyerim.
