Kumho Tire company secures deal for Chrysler’s new minivan

Kumho Tire will supply tires for Chrysler’s new 2017 model of the minivan Pacifica, the company said on Tuesday. Pacifica is the world’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, which first was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show 2016 earlier this year. The model, some of which will be renovated as a driverless car at the end of the year for experiments with Google, will feature Kumho Tire’s four-season premium tire Solus TA31. The tires offer top-riding comfort and function by minimizing abrasion and noise.
The tire models to be supplied for the new Pacifica have already started being produced at U.S. based factories since April and are being sent to a Chrysler assembly factory based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Kumho is hoping that the supply contract with the Pacifica enhances its brand’s position in North America.
