Temporary shutdown planned for KEB Hana Bank’s systems
KEB Hana Bank is scheduled to temporarily shut down most of its electronic financial transaction systems over the coming Memorial Day weekend, from June 4 through 6 a.m. on June 7, in order to integrate the systems of the formerly separate Hana Bank and Korea Exchange Bank. Services scheduled to shut down include Internet and mobile banking, as well as the operation of automated teller machines (ATMs), the bank announced Monday. Credit card payments will still go through during the period and customer service call centers will also operate partially. The bank suggested customers withdraw cash or checks in advance, or use their cards to make payments during the weekend.
