Park set to star in ‘Cheese in the Trap’ movie
The popular drama series “Cheese in the Trap,” based on the webtoon series of the same title, will be made into a film in China, and actor Park Hae-jin, who plays the lead role in the TV version, has landed the role of Yoo Jung in the film version, too.Yoo is a college student who seems kind but he often manipulates people with his kind demeanor, and Park’s portrayal was highly acclaimed by fans of the original webtoon series when the drama series was broadcast on tvN earlier this year.
The film version of “Cheese in the Trap” will begin shooting next year and will hit theaters in China next summer.
Since it is a joint Korean-Chinese project, some Chinese actors are likely to be cast in the film version.
Soonkki, who created the original webtoon series, also reportedly signed a contract with the Korean production team of “Cheese in the Trap” and will pen the script for the film.
Meanwhile, 33-year-old Park recently had a meet-up event with fans marking the 10th anniversary of his debut.
