Samsung SDI’s solar cell paste plant starts workSamsung SDI is slated to begin operation of a solar cell paste production line based in Wuxi, eastern China, starting in June, the company announced Tuesday.
The company held a groundbreaking last September for two factories, each producing polarizing film and solar cell paste. The lines will start producing 40 tons of paste a month next month, and will keep increasing the monthly capacity to reach as high as 100 tons.
The new production lines aim to boost sales in China, where nearly 70 percent of the world’s solar panel module makers are located.?
