Be bold, BOK Gov. Lee tells central bank employees

Bank of Korea Gov. Lee Ju-yeol, as part of celebrations marking the 66th anniversary of the founding of the central bank, urged employees to make bold changes according to economic reality.

“Expectations for the central bank’s role are higher than ever,” said Lee. “To provide a policy measure that is appropriate to reality we need to boldly change the way we act and the way we think.

“We need to break away from customs and need to open our hearts and minds while closely listening to new opinions.”
