Lee considering lead role in JTBC’s ‘Cheating’

Actor Lee Sun-kyun is considering a lead role in a new JTBC drama series tentatively titled “My Wife is Cheating This Week,” according to Lee’s talent agency, Hodu&U Entertainment, on Monday.

If Lee agrees, he will star as Do Hyun-wu, a veteran producer of 10 years.

The drama focuses on Do as he tries to save his family after discovering his wife has been having an affair. The producer attempts to fix his problems by soliciting help from anonymous people on social media.

It will be a remake of a Japanese drama of the same title.

If he signs on, it will be Lee’s first drama since “Miss Korea” (2013-14) two years ago.

The new series is hotly anticipated, particularly as it is helmed by director Kim Suk-yoon, who worked on the dramas “Awl” (2015) and “I Live in Cheongdam-dong” (2011-12).
