Shinsegae announces VIP service with Le Bon Marche
Shinsegae Department Store announced Tuesday that it has signed a mutual VIP service agreement with Le Bon Marche in Paris, the world’s first modern department store owned by the LVMH group.VIP customers of the two department stores will be able to receive equal services both in Korea and France.
Shinsegae’s VIPs will get personal shoppers and luxury lounge perks when shopping in Le Bon Marche, and will also be able to ship purchased goods back to Korea free of charge.
Also, limousine service will be provided from the VIP’s hotel to the department store.
This decision came after Shinsegae’s earlier VIP service partnership ties with other upscale department store chains were well received in the market.
Korea’s retail giant already has such arrangements with London’s Harrods and New York’s Saks Fifth Avenue.
“Foreign VIP customers will in turn receive corresponding perks such as interpreters, tour guides and airport lounge services,” said Hong Jeong-pyo, an executive in charge of Shinsegae’s sales strategy. “Through this deal, we expect more global VIP customers. We are also looking for cooperation in other areas such as product development and brand placement.”
