‘Superstar K’ will get slew of new judgesThe next season of the survival audition program “Superstar K” will feature three new judges, according to cable channel Mnet.
The show’s seventh season, which aired last year, featured singers Yoon Jong-shin, Baek Z-young, Sung Si-kyung and Kim Bum-soo. All but Kim have confirmed they will step down.
It is not clear if Kim will join “Superstar K 2016,” which is scheduled to air in the latter part of this year.
“We decided to change the members because we wanted to bring changes to the program,” said a source affiliated with Mnet. “But we are still considering whether or not to keep Kim as a judge.”
Preliminary auditions for participants in the upcoming season were held in Seoul in May, and auditions are also scheduled to take place in New York City, Los Angeles and Boston, according to local media outlet Star News.
Some of the new judges being considered reportedly include Kim Yeon-woo and Ailee.
