[New Release] GFRIEND

테스트

K-pop girl group GFriend is back with “L.O.L.,” their first full-length album since debuting in 2015. The album consists of 12 songs, including standout track “Navillera.”

The song is named after a word created by the Korean poet Cho Ji-hoon in the 1900s. It means something fluttering, and is often used to describe the movements of a butterfly. The song itself is about the will to pursue love with courage and the desire to become closer to one’s beloved. It was written by Igi Young-bae, the composing team that also produced the group’s three previous title tracks “Glass Bead,” “Me Gustas Tu” and “Rough.”

Through various genres and catchy instrumentation, the album expresses the heart and feeling of a young girl. The songs range from bright and energetic to soothing and relaxing, and are impressive in their diversity and unique instrumental choices. Unfortunately, the album isn’t much of a departure from their last, leaving room for improvement and expectations for their next effort.
