Third season of ‘Unpretty Rapstar’ kicks off
The female hip-hop survival audition program “Unpretty Rapstar 3” kicked off yesterday.Mnet held a press conference at Time Square in Yeongdeungpo, western Seoul, on Friday to show how the new season will be different from those previous.
“Upcoming rap battles will give a new atmosphere compared to the last two seasons,” said producer Ko Ik-jo. “The battles will be fiercer and more challenging, and entertaining at the same time.
He added, “Lately there have been accusations of ‘evil editing’ [through which survival audition or other reality programs are edited to create the appearance of drama], but I will try my best to display the participants as they truly are.”
The 10 new competitors are Grace, Nada of the K-pop girl group Wassup, Miryo of the girl group Brown Eyed Girls, Yuna Kim, Yuk Ji-dam, Giant Pink, Jeon So-yeon, Janey, Kassy and Ha Ju-yeon.
