Yoon Jin-hee wins bronze, lifting 199 kilograms total

Yoon Jin-hee, a Korean weightlifter who competes in women’s 53-kilogram category, captured bronze on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

During the bronze medal match on Sunday, Yoon snatched 88 kilograms and jerked 111 kilograms to lift 199 kilograms total and claim the second Olympic medal of her career.

Yoon lifted a total of 213 kilograms during the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing to take silver in the same category.

Yoon’s bronze is the first medal in weightlifting for Korea during this year’s Summer Games. Yoon’s husband, Won Jeong-sik, will compete this year for another medal in the men’s 69-kilogram category.
