4Minute’s Jeon plans solo album

Singer Jeon Ji-yoon from the now-defunct girl group 4Minute will unveil a new album in October, according to the 25-year-old’s talent agency JS E&M on Tuesday.

“[Jeon] is currently working hard on a new single,” said a source from Jeon’s new label.

“She will complete recording the song by the end of this month, and will prepare for a music video afterwards. We will do our best to support Jeon do her best in diverse fields, including acting and also in entertainment programs.”

The specific date for the album’s release has not yet been disclosed.

Jeon debuted as a member of the girl group in 2009. After releasing many hits such as “Crazy” and “Hate,” the group disbanded in June. After her contract expired with Cube Entertainment, Jeon moved to the new label.
