‘Better Late than Never’ to air over Chuseok

The local drama channel skyDrama will exclusively air NBC’s “Better Late than Never” during the Chuseok [Korean Thanksgiving] holiday, according to the network on Friday.

The American show is a remake of the reality program “Grandpas Over Flowers,” which was a huge hit in Korea over three seasons, starting in 2013. The show followed actors over the age of 70 as they traveled to foreign countries under the guidance of 45-year-old actor Lee Seo-jin.

The show was sold to broadcast network NBC in the United States, and its version began airing this week. The U.S. version features celebrities William Shatner, Henry Winkler, George Foreman and Terry Bradshaw. Comedian Jeff Dye is the guide in the show. The U.S.
program was also very well received by locals, as its premiere episode was the most viewed program in its time slot the night it aired.
