Starfield Hanam is open

Shinsegae Group Vice Chairman Chung Yong-jin poses with Robert Taubman, president and CEO of Taubman Centers, at the opening ceremony of Starfield Hanam in Hanam, Gyeonggi, southeast of Seoul, on Friday. Chung showed his gratitude “to everyone who made this possible” in a welcoming speech. “Starfield Hanam is monumental in that it’s Korea’s first ever suburban shopping complex. We will endeavor to make the complex not only the pride of Hanam but the pride of Korea,” he said. “Our efforts were put into providing customers with an advanced shopping culture, where they may relax and enjoy leisure, sports and entertainment.” Co-developed by Shinsegae Group and U.S. property developer Taubman, Starfield Hanam is the largest shopping complex built in Korea, accommodating a Shinsegae department store and other stores such as E-Mart Traders, a premium food market named PK Mart and showrooms for BMW and Tesla.
