Director Oh Sang-hoon passes away at 49Director Oh Sang-hoon, 49, passed away on Sunday due to a heart attack.
The “Reversal of Fortune” (2003) director is currently being kept at the Severance Hospital funeral home in Sinchon, Seoul.
Oh was supposed to direct the upcoming golf film, “Green Jacket,” his first in eleven years, before dropping out of the project due to his poor health.
Actor and singer Im Chang-jung in particular has expressed deep sorrow at Oh’s passing, and announced his intention to visit the hospital before the burial.
The two worked together on three projects, including the previously mentioned 2003 film as well as “Son, My Enemy, Pasangsong Gyerantak” (2005).
Oh graduated from ChungAng University as a film major and went on to be recognized in the industry for his talent in comedy.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday at the Seoul Memorial Park in Wonji-dong, Seoul.
