Hyundai Department Store staff present wild pine mushrooms at the retailer’s Apgujeong branch in southern Seoul on Monday. The company sells its first harvest of wild pine mushrooms for the upcoming Chuseok holiday. The wild pine mushroom harvest was delayed by this year’s unprecedented heat wave and drought, hence its recent nickname “golden pine mushrooms.” The department store plans on increasing small-quantity products by 20 percent since prices have gone up by two to three times compared to last year.
