Song Ji-eun to release ‘Bobby Doll’
Girl group Secret member Song Ji-eun will return as a solo artist with a new mini-album “Bobby Doll” on Sept. 20.
The singer released a trailer for the music video of her new single on Tuesday following teaser images uploaded to her official blog. The new album concept will divert from her usually bright and sunny image to a much darker tone.
The music video is directed by Kim Suk-jin of renowned music video studio Zanybros, who was responsible for creating videos for pop groups such as Super Junior, EXO, Girls Generation, BEAST and more.
The comeback will mark Song’s return as a solo artist after two years. Song has gone solo many times since her debut with Secret in 2009, with solo releases such as “Going Crazy” in 2011 and “Twenty-Five” in 2014. Her first major role as an actress in the KBS1 drama “Sweet Home, Sweet Honey” earned 30 percent ratings for its time slot.
