tvN announces 10th anniversary events
Cable channel tvN will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with the tvN10 Festival and the tvN10 Awards.CJ E&M Media Contents head Lee Duk-jae and tvN director Lee Myeong-han gathered at a press conference for the promotion of the channel’s new special events.
The tvN10 Festival will be a convention held at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Ilsan. The tvN director explained that fans and visitors alike will be able to visit unique booths set up by the organizers to “give first-hand experience of tvN shows.” The SNL booth, for example, will be constructed like one of the set pieces of a popular SNL skit, while another booth will replicate the set of drama Misaeng, allowing visitors to experience the office-themed booth. The tvN10 Awards, on the other hand, will be an awards ceremony hosted by comedians Kang Ho-dong and Shin Dong-yup. The nominees will include all programs that have ever aired on the channel since the network’s debut in Oct. 2006. Fans will be able to vote online for stars and programs in multiple categories, and the winners will be announced on Oct. 9th during the live broadcast.
