More companies jump on board annual fall sale
More companies will be participating in the country’s annual fall sale event, this year dubbed the “Korea Sale FESTA,” running today till Oct. 31.According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on Wednesday, Samsung Electronics will offer a 36 percent discount on the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The ministry said a customer can save up to 670,000 won ($610) on the 939,000 won phone during the sale event.
Renault Samsung Motors will offer up to a 10 percent discount on its SM6, SM3 and QM3 models, and Hyundai Motor is knocking 5 to 10 percent off the price of 5,000 units of its Grandeur, Santa Fe and Sonata.
The government said 249 businesses will run promotions during this year’s event, a 270 percent increase in participation from last year.
