HKD starts up cosmetic line with Sulleim Clinic

HKD, which helps Korean companies distribute their products in China, joined forces with Sulleim Clinic to develop four types of anti-aging products.

Labeled Blooming Cell Line, the products protect skin from urban pollution and fine dust, which have emerged as the causes of skin troubles in both Korea and China. The line launched in September.

Sulleim Clinic is located in Seoul’s Gangnam District and is headed by Dr. Kang Jung-ha. It is known for providing skin care services from acne treatment to cosmetic procedures.

Hallyu stars such as Kim Jun-su from the K-pop trio JYJ and Jang Woo-young from 2PM are known for getting their skincare done there.

HKD matches up small- and mid-size Korean firms with distribution channels in China. Recently, it started manufacturing its own private label cosmetics products.

Once its business in China takes root, HKD plans to advance into Japan. The company said it is already receiving enquiries from retail channels in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The jointly developed Blooming Cell Line comes in four types: cream, mist, massage cream and mask cream, all of which focuses on anti-aging effects.
