Fireworks festival a fine time for a riverside skylit stroll
A Japanese team put gunpowder into canisters on Wednesday to prepare for the massive fireworks display at the Han River in Yeouido, western Seoul. Hanwha Group will host the 2016 Seoul International Fireworks Festival tomorrow in Hangang Park in Yeouido. Traffic will be controlled on some roads adjacent to the venue from 2 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
Seoul city government announced its plan to increase subway trains from 4 p.m. on the day to encourage people to use public transport to travel to the venue. From 6 p.m., subway trains may not stop at Yeouinaru station of Line No. 5. [KANG JUNG-HYUN]
