Baek Ji-young is pregnant, cancels tour

테스트

Singer Baek Ji-young is eight weeks pregnant, according to her agency, Music Works, on Thursday.

The singer’s agency said that they consider her health their top priority, and have decided to cancel all of the upcoming shows in her ongoing Korean tour.

Baek married her husband, actor Jeong Seok-won, in 2013, and became pregnant that year. However, the singer suffered a miscarriage four months into her pregnancy due to an infection.

The singer was opposed to the cancellation of her shows, but her agency said they were firm in their decision.

The tour originally kicked off in Busan in August, and the singer was planning to visit all major cities in the country. Her upcoming show in Ilsan on the 22nd will be cancelled as well, and the agency said they will refund all tickets as well as offering compensation to the fans.

Baek made her music debut with her first album “Sorrow” in 1999. She is well-regarded in the industry for her vocal ability as well as repertoire of hit songs, including “Dash” (2000), “Like Being Shot by a Bullet” (2008), and “Please, Don’t Forget” (2009).
