Coca-Cola releases lemon flavor exclusively for Korea

Coca-Cola is releasing a lemon-infused variation of its popular drink exclusively for the Korean market.

Coca-Cola Lemon is the first flavored product from the Atlanta-based beverage maker in seven years since Coca-Cola Cherry, the company said Thursday.

Among Coca-Cola aficionados, mixing lemon juice or adding a slice of lemon to the drink has been a well-known recipe, motivating the company to develop a lemon-flavored version of the product.

Coca-Cola Lemon will be come in 250-milliliter (8-ounce) cans and 500-milliliter bottles. It will be sold in supermarkets, convenience stores and discount chains at 1,300 won ($1.14) a can, the same price as regular coke.
