Uhm Tae-woong found guilty on solicitation charges

테스트

In a new development in actor Uhm Tae-woong’s sexual assault case, the actor was found guilty not of rape, but of paying for sex.

The actor was charged on Friday by the Bundang Police Station for visiting an illegal sex parlor in Seongnam, Gyeonggi in January. The investigation found that Uhm had made a phone reservation to the parlor before visiting alone and paying for prostitution in cash.

Although Uhm denied the charge, the police said they found evidence that the actor paid the exact sum of money required for sex services at the unlicensed massage parlor, as well as confirming the establishment as a sex parlor.

The woman that accused Uhm of sexual assault was also found to have worked together with the owner of the sex parlor in the hopes of scamming money from the actor. The woman and parlor owner were both charged with fraud and attempted blackmail.

Although the owner of the parlor admitted to the charges, claiming to have gone through with it because the accuser needed money, the accuser herself kept insisting that she was a victim of sexual assault.
