LG spruces up its website for energy businesses

LG has refurbished an English-language Website to promote energy solution capabilities made possible by the collaboration of key affiliates of business partners worldwide.

The renewal comes 13 months after the site initially opened, when the main focus was placed on boosting recognition of LG’s energy business among the public.

The site represents four affiliates - LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG CNS and LG Hausys - which are devoted to developing and manufacturing technologies for green-energy, energy storage and advanced systems and infrastructure.

LG Electronics is engaged in high-efficiency solar energy and energy storage systems; LG Chem, batteries for electric vehicles and ESS; LG CNS, smart microgrid solutions; LG Hausys, eco-friendly energy-saving materials and systems.

The renewed site has focused on visualization of information such as infographics and video to deliver the message that the energy humans currently use is limited and cleaner and more efficient energy is necessary in the near future.

Energy-related businesses have lately emerged as a crucial driver of LG’s growth. Revenue from the sector is expected to leap to 4 trillion won ($3.5 billion) this year from 3 trillion won last year and earnings from solar energy as well as ESS battery revenue have been on the rise too.
