Father-daughter drama casts Oh Ji-ho as lead
The drama will be about a father (played by Oh) who learns about the responsibilities of parenthood while raising his ten year old daughter who suffers from childhood Alzheimer’s. Oh’s character will go through a transformation throughout the series from a “loser” into a true role model.
The producers of the upcoming drama said, “When Oh was offered the role, he said he could relate with his character even more since he himself is raising a daughter. We are looking forward to see what kind of performance the actor will deliver.”
The producers said they are hoping to provide a healing drama about the relationship between a father and his daughter.
The show is written by award-winning writer Jeon Ho-sung, and will be directed by Kim Young-jo, who previously worked on the acclaimed 2009 action series “Iris.”
